This is the project of the one month limited hotel ”Llove” using the accommodation facility to be dismantled at Daikanyama by Suzanne Oxenaar who is the founder of "Lloyd Hotel & Cultural Embassy" in Amsterdam. The public space interior of the building is designed by Jo Nagasaka and the each accommodation room interior is designed by four Dutch designers (Richard Hatten, Jeep Van Reeshout, Peke Bergmans, Shorten & Bar Ingus) and four Japanese architects (Jo Nagasaka, Hideyuki Nakayama, Yuko Nagayama, Ryuji Nakamura). The structure of the building is reinforced concrete but the rooms were decorated by Japanese style with Tatami, Fusuma and Tokonoma. I could remove the interior and create a new space from the beginning but I left the interior of the Japanese style as it is and just added the floor (= ceiling) that separates the room vertically like a water surface of a pond. The floor (= ceiling) is made of putting about 4000 stretchable strings on the left and the right walls at 1 mm pitch at the height of 70 cm from the existing floor. So we can pass through it. Of course it is the space to stay and rest but it is also the space to enjoy discovering how to use the room.
